This morning’s Emmy noms have people abuzz with all kinds of questions like, “What about the Mad Men Actresses?!?” and “Masterpiece Theater still exists?!?”
All this showbiz talk, (at least for me, I work in LA) is cause for a roundup of all the ish going down in Tinseltown…
The newly-nominated Amy Poehler is taking on a spinoff of the wildly popular NBC show, The Office. This probably means she’ll be ditching SNL, especially with a baby on the way…
Despite everyone being so freaked out about Katherine Heigl “blasting” the Grey’s writing crew, she’s staying on as Dr. Izzie Stevens. She said the writing didn’t really give her a reason to throw her name in the hat for an Emmy, and she’s right. The writing this season was sub-par compared to 2006-2007, and that probably had something to do with the writer’s strike.
Speaking of the Emmys, check out Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth ham up the nomination announcements — much better than the usual fare, and at 5 a.m. no less!

Katy Perry’s annoyingly catchy, dance-worthy hit “I Kissed A Girl” still tops the Billboard chart, keeping 12 year olds everywhere comfortable with making out with their best friend so they could tell their boyfriends.
And Eugene at Cinematical is worried about adorable little Michael Cera and the film adaptation of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. I don’t blame him.
