In this rabid fight for a Congressional seat in Kansas City, Republican incumbent Sam Graves is going for the jugular. Apparently because he’s basically grasping for straws at this point. Watch this video where he trashes his opponent, former Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes, with homophobia and racism. Yay.

Yes. San Francisco values. Of course, the Graves campaign is refusing to apologize for this rather uncouth ad. He’s basically trying to tie Barnes with California’s supreme court ruling that gay marriage is a go. Fortunately, the Barnes camp has issued a response ad.

What’s sad? A poll that the local FOX affilliate asks is split nearly 50/50 as of this morning: “Did Sam Graves’ ad referring to Kay Barnes’ ‘San Francisco Values’ cross the line?”
