We know you’re wondering what to do with that $75 million you have lying around under your mattress. Well, look no further, as the answer is in the real estate listings. Just when you thought the housing bubble had burst into flames, a 45-foot wide townhome on Manhattan’s Upper East Side is up for grabs.
This 1920s town home, on 22 East 71st Street is currently the highest-priced lot in all of New York City
If you’d rather save $10 million, this cute little place a few blocks south is up for only $64 million. According to the New York Times:
The house on East 68th Street, which is next to a large apartment building, has elaborate paneled rooms on the ground floor, but was carved into 16 apartments years ago. Ms. Del Nunzio, working with Scully & Scully, the furniture and gift store, has brought in stuffed leather furniture and period desks and tables to give the place a turn-of-the-last century look.
I’m sorry, but it’s not worth it to me. Rich people suck — partially because I’m not one of them.
