Kylie Minogue - X

Back in the day as a Kindergartner, I was obsessed with doing the “Locomotion.” Then 15 years or so later, I couldn’t get her next U.S. hit, “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” …well, out of my head. The dance track summed up a of the feelings I had for a special someone, though being that the song was the better half of a decade ago, I can only now estimate who that someone was.

Kylie Minogue comes back to the U.S. with X. Being that she’s mega huge in Australia and the U.K., she’s not exactly a dinner table name like Britney Spears, if my house can stand as an example.

Kylie’s newest album has a decent range of stuff I want to dedicate to my boo on the radio, to dancey tracks I want to blast out of my car’s tin can-like stereo system to look cool. Something interesting I noticed was that a lot of her songs are kind of short. This album is actually only 45 minutes, which makes me question whether foreign artists do that in general. A few songs I can do with out (”No More Rain” sounds corny; “Wow” sounds very 80s, but I forgive her for that.
